The 2019 JMPR annual meeting was held at WHO HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, from 17 to 26 September 2019, with FAO pre-meeting on 12 -16 September. During the meeting, the FAO Panel evaluated residue data and analytical aspects of the pesticides under consideration, including their metabolism, fate in the environment and use patterns, and estimated the maximum levels of residues in food. The WHO Group reviewed toxicological and related data and established acceptable daily intakes (ADis) and acute reference doses (ARIDs). The Meeting evaluated 37 pesticides, including 8 new compounds and 3 compounds that were re-evaluated, 19 compounds for additional uses and 7 compounds for response to CCPR specific issues. The Meeting established AD Is and ARfDs and estimated more than 300 maximum residue levels to be adopted by CCPR. The Meeting also considered general principles and new methodologies for risk assessment.
