Follow-up assistance by a fishery biologist and a master fish farmer to the fish cage farming activity at the Kuala Besut Small-Scale Fisheries Pilot Project was undertaken. The problems encountered with the original cages set in the Kuala Setiu Lagoon were identified. New innovations with regards to the physical structure of the cages as well as with their management were initiated to try to solve some of the problems. Continued implementation of this activity was pursued by the master fish far mer within a three-month stay at the site.
