The launch of the GEF project in India is among its largest FAO-funded projects worldwide. This project will help the FAO and the Government of India better deal with forest and landscape management. This two page brochure/fact sheet summarizes the current situation, the vision and illustrates the ways the project will address the policy and practice of agriculture in India by strengthening agro-ecological practices, which can support food production and food security, and nutrition while restoring the ecosystem services and biodiversity that are essential for sustainable agriculture.
