| dc.description | Conflict, economic decline and climatic shocks continue to erode the resilience of rural communities in Yemen. Many rural households have lost their productive capacities due to displacement, the collapse of agricultural infrastructure, limited access to inputs and services and the fragmentation of agrifood systems. As a result, rural households who once relied on their own food production are relying on humanitarian assistance to meet their food needs. In response, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has developed the Yemen Plan of Action for Emergency, Resilience and Development 2025–2027. Through this Plan, FAO aims to mobilize USD 260.2 million to support 1.34 million households (9.38 million people) with emergency, recovery and resilience-based agricultural assistance. The Plan focuses on delivering time-critical inputs, restoring local food production, strengthening agrifood systems and reducing long-term reliance on external aid. This document presents an overview of the context, the Plan’s expected results and implementation arrangements. | |
