Are you ready? is a concise checklist designed to help farmers/growers, other farm workers and extension staff to determine whether or not they are prepared to prevent Tropical race 4 (TR4) on the farms where they work. It is geared to an audience of development practitioners. The checklist has a format of “yes” or “no” (and if “no”, what to do).
The overall message is that prevention is the best defence against disease infection. Everyone working on a farm can play his or her part to protect their job and the industry and getting TR4 “ready” is an essential part of prevention.
