Following a request from the Government of the Central African Republic, a joint FAO/WFP Crop and Food Security Assessment Mission (CFSAM) visited the country from 16 to 28 January 2017 to estimate crop production and assess the overall food security situation. In addition to the international members, the Mission benefited from the participation of staff representatives from the Ministry of Rural Development, the Central African Institute of Statistics and Socio-Economic Studies and of 16 inter national and national NGOs tasked with the field survey.
