Descripción
Since 2005 country evaluations have formed a part of the evaluation program of FAO. In 2007, FAO Programme Committee "emphasized the importance of the evaluation of FAO’s effectiveness in individual countries and considered that future country evaluations should include in the sample some middle-income countries in addition to LDCs". A country evaluation was carried out in India in 2008, that evaluation illustrated the different role that FAO plays in a large and diverse country like India, whic h has requests and expectations to vis-à-vis FAO, as well as potential contributions to make to the Organization.
