The key objectives of the project were to conduct a comprehensive analysis of potential agrifood value chains to identify those with the highest potential for generating employment, particularly among youth, women and vulnerable groups, and to develop tailored project interventions that can be scaled up to the national level. In line with emerging government priorities, the project also includes an analysis of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, preparation of a detailed value chain report, and provision of recommendations to guide future sector development.The project developed an integrated and actionable programme framework that directly supports more inclusive and effective agrifood value chains. It is expected that this will contribute to stimulating rural employment and to supporting sustainable, resilient rural economies.
