Report produced for the Regional Fisheries Livelihoods Programme for South and Southeast Asia (RFLP) by NGO Empreza Diak on an activity to build capacity of the staff of the National Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture (NDFA) on the Timor-Leste fisheries legal framework. The report narrates the steps of the activity, identify gaps and gives recommendations. The activity also comprised the development of a glossary in Tetum of legal and technical terms in order to increase the capacity of th e NDFA to interpret and implement the law. Glossary of legal and technical terms in Tetum present in the fisheries laws are included in annexes.
