The essence and significance of integrating agricultural information resources in western China were summarized. The integration methods were introduced from the following four aspects: agricultural information infrastructure, database, collaborative management and service application. The integration technologies were discussed, the core of which lies in integrating distributed application via software and realizing the trans-departmental and trans-system exchange and share of information through controlling information. Based on the introduction of several frequently-used intelligence terminals, the approaches of realizing the transmission of agricultural information resources in western China were analyzed. And the integration measures were put forward as follows: establishing the Sharing Alliance of Western China Agricultural Information Resources; enriching agricultural information resources, promoting the quality of information, constructing resources center and bringing forth new ideas into technologies; and constructing a management system of information security.
