dc.descriptionThe Committee on Fisheries held its Thirteenth Session in Rome from 8 to 12 October 1979. The session was attended by 74 of the 96 members of the Committee, by observers from 3 other FAO Member Nations, by the Permanent Observer for the Holy See, by representatives of the United Nations Development Programme,the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission,the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/GATT and the European Economic Community, and by observers from the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Inter-A merican Development Bank, the International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission, the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas, the International Commission for the Southeast Atlantic Fisheries, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, the Latin American Economic System, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Permanent Commission for the South Pacific, the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center and the Arab Union of Fish Producers.
