Resumen

Descripción

This booklet presents five real and proven models of collaboration between food processing industry and those implementing the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture by conserving, using and promoting crop diversity. The models have been presented at a Special Event, preceding the Tenth meeting of the Standing Committee on the Funding Strategy and Resource Mobilization. Each example takes a different shape tailored to the partners involved, with its own objectives, benefits, and impacts. While there is no single approach to engagement, these cases illustrate the breadth of possibilities and are intended to inspire new ideas and partnerships. The booklet also includes trends and concrete recommendations arising from the cases that could be informative to other and new collaborations between food processing industry players and managers of crop diversity.
