The EAHMI team found the independent External Evaluation (EE) very useful as this provides a third party mechanism in evaluating the project. The independence from the project, (none of the members are involved in project implementation nor have been previously connected with EAHMI) gives credibility to the evaluation report. The EE is very useful in identifying the strengths and achievement of the project and in articulating areas for further improvement. EE’s list of recommendations becomes ev en more relevant in future project extension and expansion as in the case of EAHMI.
