The first edition of the World List of Foreetry Schools was published in 1974 to facilitate communication and exchange of information on forestry education and training throughout the world. This was followed by a revised version in 1977 incorporating a number of additions and amendments. The present third and expanded edition includes schools and centres providing training for forest industries. It is based on information received from many sources. I take this opportunity to expres s my sincere thankm to all those who in one way or another have helped to produce the current edition and to request users to submit suggestions for further additions or amendments which can be incorporated into future improved editions of the World List.
