FISH4ACP, an initiative of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (OACPS), aims to improve the economic, social and environmental sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture value chains in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, In Guyana, local demand for fish products is expected to rise as a consequence of emerging oil and gas production. FISH4ACP aims to ensure that economic improvements go hand in hand with environmental sustainability and social inclusiveness. FISH4CP is implemented by FAO with funding from the European Union.
