This course introduces the concept of Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (MCS) and highlights its crucial role in fisheries management. It provides guidance on designing an effective MCS system to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. By the end, participants will gain the knowledge needed to implement and strengthen MCS systems in fisheries to ensure sustainable practices and compliance with regulations.
