This report is a summary of the International Workshop and Regional Expert Consultation on Mountain Agriculture Development and Food Security and Nutrition Governance. Due to the characteristics of geology and climate, compared with the dominant power of plain areas, mountain communities are among the most vulnerable group to food insecurity, especially in Asia and the Pacific, home to 65% of the world's most undernourished populations.
