dc.descriptionBreeding forage crops requires a genetic evolution to optimize the agronomic and compositional characteristics of the new hybrids. As a dynamic process, it is necessary to evaluate with precision and speed the parameters that determine the nutritional quality, in particular the contents of digestibility and fibers. Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) offers a low cost-effective alternative to measure these parameters.
