This report is a collaboration between the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It analyses the global market of grapes for direct human consumption (specifically for table and dried grapes). It presents the latest data on market size, consumption, domestic production, exports and imports since 2000. The report is comprised of two sections: Section 1 includes general considerations on the food uses of grape pr oducts, the nutritional value of grapes and on the basics of viticulture. Section 2 is dedicated to the analysis of the global market of table and dried grapes. It presents the latest data on production, and consumption, as well as exports and imports.
