This report covers the aquaculture sub-component aspect of the Project TCP/PHI/0003(5) which is an FAO/TCP technical assistance to LLDA in order to further strengthen its capacity to implement effectively the bank-financed Laguna de Bay Fishpen Development Project (LBFDP). Review of existing information and field level workshops were conducted. Among other things, the technologies on milkfish pen culture and tilapia cage culture were discussed with the fishermen during the workshops. The pen a nd cage culture systems as gathered from technical publications, personal interviews from the LLDA consultants and fishermen themselves are discussed thoroughly in this report. It also includes a proposed pure cage culture of tilapia along with other recommendations to LLDA.
