Descripción
The Country Programming Framework 2022-25 sets out three priority areas to facilitate FAO's partnership with and support to the Government of Eswatini for transforming agrifood systems by applying innovative international best practices and global standards, along with national and regional expertise, and providing the required technical assistance. These are: (1) Environment and systems for enabling business of agriculture and inclusive gender-responsive food system transformation.,(2) Inclusive, broad-based participation and partnerships in agricultural value chaindevelopment, (3) Sustainable management of natural resources, climate action, resilience building and environmental sustainability. The CPF will support the Government of Eswatini's efforts to double farmers' income and make agriculture more productive, sustainable, and climate-resilient. The CPF 2022–2025 has been developed taking into account major challenges identified in transforming Eswatini's agrifood systems, government policies and priorities. This has been done through extensive consultations with national stakeholders, particularly Government line ministries, civil society, the private sector and development partners as well as relevant UN agencies, including the Rome-based Agencies. The CPF is also aligned with the FAO Strategic Framework 2022–31, as well as the Organization's regional priorities for Africa and the Subregional Office for Southern Africa regions and its corporate initiatives such as the Hand in Hand Initiative (HIHI) and One Country One Priority Product (OCOP). The CPF 2022–2025 is designed as a living document and can be updated to respond to changes in government priorities and unfolding situations
