dc.descriptionFAO Jordan office publishes a newsletter every few months to reinforce other means of communications and to provide all updates and 'what's new' in Jordan office, which will contribute to the visibility of the Organization and will also reach a broader audience in different regions. Each edition covers the office's project activities, workshops, partnerships and other events to be shared with donors, stakeholders, NGOs, INGOs and partners from the government and private sector. In this edition, readers will be updated on two FAO projects in Jordan; the organization's projects in response to COVID-19 ; World Food Day celebration, the launch of the EU madad project in addition to couple of training workshops and the agreement between FAO and MoA on strengthening the forestry sector to control forest fires in Jordan. The readers will also be updated on two workshops: 1- Building the capacity of date palm farmers on integrated management of red palm weevil 2- Improving the productivity and efficiency of the olive oil industry. 2- FAO builds local capacities in renewable energy/biogas technology.
