Resumen
Descripción
Global food markets showed slight recovery in early 2026, but ongoing geopolitical tensions and climate variability continue to pose risks to food security, particularly in the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region. Uneven agricultural conditions and declining production in parts of the Near East are increasing reliance on imports. In response, countries are investing in storage, infrastructure and policy measures to stabilize markets, while FAO programmes emphasize youth empowerment and innovation as key drivers of resilient agrifood systems.
