Resumen
Descripción
Since 2021, the Alliance of Bioversity International & CIAT has supported cacao cooperatives in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru in applying the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR, 2023). Through participatory conservation planning and the introduction of geospatial traceability and risk assessment systems, the initiative has enabled cooperatives to move from voluntary commitments to verifiable due diligence, establishing conservation agreements and strengthening monitoring capacity at the farm level.
