dc.descriptionThis study extends dynamic models of renewable terrestial resources to evaluate the optimal long-run management strategy for African Elephants. Changes in many model parameters have ambiguous effects on elephant stocks and point to a need for empirical research to provide parameterizations for a theoretical model and a better basis for policy.
