| dc.description | This fact-sheet is developed to inform affected and vulnerable communities who live nearby a mini-landfill in Tajikistan about how they can minimize the negative impacts of mini-landfills. Mini-landfills contain obsolete pesticides inherited from Former Soviet Union. These hazardous chemicals are often stored in deteriorated containers or buried in those mini-landfills, where leakages contaminate the soil and water and pose a high risk for human health and the environment. | |
