Recommendation 20 of the 21st FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific, held on February, 1992, in New Delhi, India, stated that, "The Conference expressed the desire that FAO should document an inventory of available agro-processing technologies in the Crop Sector", (paragraph 122). This Bibliographic Listing of Agro-Industry Technologies in some Southeast Asian Countries was undertaken as a contribution towards that end. Existing databases (AGRIS/CARIS, APEX, AIBA, etc.) in Malaysia , the Philippines and Thailand were searched and data collated and presented here in a simple format for easy reference of readers. It is not by any means a comprehensive list as national AGRIS/CARIS data of all countries in the Region have not been included due to limited resources. However, this presents a good starting point in addressing a regional need: that of a regional information exchange center with its main focus on agro-industry and other post harvest concerns, hence, selected lis tings covering dairy and livestock, fisheries, and forestry and wood industries have been included as well. It is hoped that the FAO member countries attending this 22nd FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific will make use of this document to enable revenue-generating technologies to be adapted to upgrade the traditional practices in agro-processing in the Region.
