The VGGT were endorsed in May 2012 during the 38th (special) session of the Committee on Food Security, following a large-scale consultation process. This evaluation was conducted between October 2016 and July 2017. For the collection of primary data, the evaluation focused on the following VGGT countries, selected in consultation with the programme management team: Mongolia, Myanmar, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Uganda.
