dc.descriptionPara esta investigación se seleccionaron 75 hogares en fincas cafeteras ubicadas en el departamento de Caldas en los municipios de Manizales, Chinchiná, Riósucio y Supia, por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas y encuestas se determino su portafolio de actividades, fuentes de ingreso, la influencia de las estructuras y procesos que conducen a sus logros en medios de vida, además el aporte de las especies vegetales al ingreso familiar y su caracterización etnobotánica. Se seleccionaron 16 variables conforman los activos de capital físico, natural, humano, financiero, igualmente variables tecnológicas del cultivo de café. For this investigation, 75 homes in coffee planting farms located in the department of Caldas in the towns of Manizales, Chinchiná, Riosucio and Supia, by means of semi-structured interviews and surveys, it's portfolio of activities were determined, sources of income, the influence of the structures and processes that leads to the achievement of means of living. Also, the contribution of the species of vegetation, the family income and its ethno botanical characteristics. Sixteen (16) variables were selected which included physical, capital, natural, human and financial assets, and the technological variables in the cultivation of coffee.
