Descripción
Bangladesh is the world’s 2nd largest producer of jackfruit, yet its share in global exports remains negligible at just 0.3 percent. Exports are highly concentrated, with the United Kingdom alone accounting for over 75 percent. The government is promoting good agricultural practices, food safety, and value addition to enhance export readiness. Strengthening these interventions could help position Bangladesh as a key jackfruit exporter.
