This document formerly adopts the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License to be applied to FAO statistical databases with the objective to make FAO data more open and accessible for evidence-based decision-making. It describes the rationale of adopting the license, as well as defines the roles and responsibilities of FAO officers, and data users in its adoption. It supersedes the previous version of the policy issued in 2020.
