This database was developed to evaluate dry and wet spells (CDD and CWD) and drought conditions using multiple time-scale drought indices (SPI-1, SPI-3, SPI-6, SPI-9, and SPI-12) across agroclimatic zones in Ghana, based on CHIRPS precipitation data at 5 km spatial resolution. The analysis enables assessment of rainfall variability and drought patterns and supports discussion of their impacts on rainfed agriculture, particularly in terms of water availability, crop stress, and seasonal agricultural risks.
