| dc.description | The aim of this study is to measure the competitiveness of the South African Agricultural Sector by analysing the effects of the Trade Development and Co-operation Agreement (TDCA). In broad terms the effects are expected to be twofold: (1) increased competition on the local market by the European Union (EU) products entering the market on a duty-free basis, and (2) improved access to the EU market for South African (SA) exports. These effects are analyzed by: • Taking a closer look at the TDCA. • Performing an export impact assessment. • Performing an import impact assessment. | |
