dc.descriptionA report of the twenty-sixth World Food Day celebration held at the FAO regional office in Bangkok in commemoration of the Organization's founding in 1945. This year’s theme highlights the need to invest in agriculture to tackle poverty and food insecurity. Highlights of the day include a keynote speech on the theme of the celebration by Tadao Chino, Senior Advisor, Nomura Research Institute and former President of the Asian Development Bank and the presentation of four awards to outstanding far mers from China, Myanmar, Pakistan and Thailand.
