| dc.description | Amah, a regional breeding manager takes some students on a tour around the plantain and banana breeding programs of IITA where Plantain/Banana is bred to support food security. The tissue culture laboratory uses tissue culture techniques to germinate seeds from crosses through embryo germination or rescue to produce a large number of good quality planting materials and also for conservation of genetic resources used for breeding. | |
