Climate change is characterized on a global scale as an increase in the concentration of atmospheric CO2, an increase in temperature and a greater occurrence of extreme rain events, a!ecting the availability of water in the soil. These factors and their interactions a!ect the growth and development of plants and, consequently, the productivity of agricultural crops and livestock.
