This brief will provide information to the general public on the establishment of the Al Dahrieh Livestock Market in the community of Al Dahrieh, Hebron and why this is important. The brief highlights the challenges the livestock market addresses and the wide ranging benefits which will be felt by the local community and beyond. The livestock market will serve over 2 000 herders and the Al Dahrieh community. The brief also gives information about the the project “Emergency support to vulnerable herders through improved preparedness and response capacity to natural and man-made shocks and strengthening food security coordination” under which the livestock market was funded by the Government of Canada.
