In it’s 2009 version, the Panorama of Nutrition and Food Security in Latin America and the Caribbean, analyzes the outlook for food security in the Region and the key factors determining its evolution, then delves into how governments are reacting to this complex scenario and proposes public policy measures that can contribute to reducing undernourishment. Finally, it highlights the action that FAO has taken in response to the overlapping crisis and the recommendations made in support to the eff orts that governments have undertaken.
