Resumen
Descripción
The Nakuru Scaling Workshop (18–19 Sept 2025) convened 63 farmers, county officials, researchers, and private actors to review pilot evidence and co-design a county roadmap for scaling gender-transformative socio-technical bundles. Sessions combined data sharing, farmer testimonies, and partner inputs (BRAINS, PABRA, ICIPE). Evidence showed higher adoption of improved seed, intercropping, and social innovations, with associated gains in productivity, resilience, empowerment, and dietary diversity. The roadmap prioritizes extension integration, policy anchoring, private-sector and finance linkages, inclusive targeting of women, youth, and PWDs, and participatory M&E. Key barriers—finance, markets, coordination, gender gaps, climate variability, and thin extension capacity—inform immediate, short- and medium-term actions.
