Descripción
The project comprehensively developed ecological pear orchard management techniques and enabled sustainable development of the pear industry in Shanxi Province. In doing so, it contributed to the growth of the local pear industry, increased farmers’ incomes, fostered a shift in their mindset, and enhanced their technical expertise in sustainable ecological orchard management.The project has contributed meaningfully to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aligning with broader national objectives for sustainable development. By ensuring safer and more resilient pear production that strengthens sustainable food systems and secures farmers’ livelihoods, the project contributes directly to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 1 (No Poverty). By applying green pest and disease control measures, thereby reducing chemical inputs and advancing ecological orchard management, the project contributes to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
