This report is based on a mission undertaken to Casablanca, Morocco from 18-25 March 1996 to learn about the Geographic Information System (GIS) under development by project GCP/RAF/288/FRA "Système d'information géographique sur les pêcheries en Afrique de l'ouest". The information contained in this report comes primarily from the GIS project mentioned above and the Inventory Methodology Manual Project which explains the system set up by the project in great depth.
