This study covers the Asia-Pacific region of Russia including the Russian Far East, Eastern Siberia and part of Western Siberia, The study covers many issues, directly or indirectly connected with forest and forest lands of the country. Special attention is given to the condition of forest cover, timber harvesting and development of timber processing, as well as non-timber forest use and development of other types of use and the influence of all these activities on locals’ life and well-being.
