dc.descriptionThe Regional Workshop on the Promotion of the FAO Guidelines for Sustainable Aquaculture (GSA) in the Near East and North Africa, to be held on 3–4 November 2025 in Muscat, Oman, will bring together stakeholders to strengthen sustainable aquaculture in the region. The workshop will address key challenges such as water scarcity, climate change, governance gaps, and inclusivity, while promoting the GSA as a framework for policy, communication, and action. Participants will identify priorities, networks, and concrete steps, including updating National Aquaculture Development Plans, to enhance the sector’s contribution to food security, livelihoods, and the SDGs.
