This booklet describes, in a non-technical manner, some important aspects of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries. The purpose is to create greater awareness of the goals and purpose of the Code to encourage its effective application in all capture fisheries and in aquaculture. This booklet does not replace the Code of Conduct but simply presents some of the complex information contained within the Code in a simplified form in an attempt to make it more accessible to all users of fis heries.
