Descripción
Objectives
To review the animal health component of India’s National Action Plan (NAP) on AMR (2017-2021) and the One Health approach guiding NAP;
To identify progress made in the implementation of activities on AMR and antimicrobial use in livestock and poultry as enunciated in NAP;
To suggest continuation and/or amendment of activities related to animal health sector on containing AMR in 2022-2025 version of NAP;
Identify linkages with activities of other sectors (mainly human health and environment) and harmonize these for optimal outcome
To identify new activities and possible implementing agencies for the animal health component of India’s NAP on AMR (2022-2025); and
To share consolidated draft on proposed activities with the national authorities.
