Tercera conferencia magistral del Evento Internacional sobre Agricultura Tropical Sustentable, impartida por el Dr. Luis Pocasangre Enamorado, director general del CATIE. La ponencia expone el modelo institucional basado en educación, investigación y proyección para transferir el conocimiento científico al productor. Se detallan casos de éxito regional como los híbridos de café resistentes a la sequía, colecciones de cacao de alta productividad, tecnologías ganaderas bajas en emisiones y la incubadora CATIE Activa. Finalmente, aborda la Plataforma de Agricultura Tropical y el financiamiento mediante alianzas con la banca de desarrollo.
