Resumen
Descripción
The ‘Livestock-led interventions towards equitable livelihoods and improved environment in the Northwest Highlands of Vietnam’ or Li-chăn project used the ‘photovoice’ for monitoring and evaluation.
Photovoice is a participatory research method and it is often used with vulnerable groups such as women, ethnic minorities, and other minorities such as labour workers. To implement the method, the project equipped farmers with 20 easy-to-use cameras and trained them on how to take photos. The project also trained farmers on how to conduct in-depth interviews with people to tell the stories from the community and show the evidence of change from the project.
After two and half years of implementation (2019–2021), the project has resulted in agricultural system transformation in targeted sites in northwest Vietnam.
