This issue of ASFA Magazine celebrates the launch of OpenASFA and highlights other information sources and partnerships, including the FIRMS Partnership and AquaDocs repository. OpenASFA is the new system for creating, recording and exporting ASFA records that will help revolutionise how ASFA contributes to the dissemination of fisheries and aquaculture research. This issue also updates on the work to improve the ASFA Subject Thesaurus. Since joining AGROVOC as a sub-vocabulary, ASFA is pleased to see non-English language coverage of the ASFA thesaurus increase thanks to the efforts of its multilingual partners. Lastly, ASFA launches a survey to understand the career outcomes and any real or perceived barriers experienced by information professionals working in aquatic sciences, fisheries and aquaculture. The survey is designed to show whether gender has any impact on career outcomes and barriers. ASFA Secretariat will share the results of the survey in the next issue.
