Descripción
This brief presents the EX-Ante Carbon-Balance tool, an appraisal system developed by FAO providing estimates of the impact of agriculture and forestry development projects, programmes and policies on the carbon-balance. The tool helps project designers estimate and prioritize project activities with high benefits in terms of economic and climate change mitigation, and it helps decision-makers to decide on the right course to mitigate climate change in agriculture and forestry and to enhance en vironmental services.
