In Central African Republic, over 70 percent of the population are below the age of 35 years. The agricultural sector has the potential to provide employment opportunities for the youth and help to consolidate peace in the country. However, there is still a limited availability of agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training that are well-adapted to the specific needs of vulnerable youth.
A Training of Facilitators for Junior Farmer Field and Life Schools was therefore organized by FAO in November 2019 in response to this gap. This brochure summarizes the training proceedings, the immediates impacts achieved and the perspectives for the future.
